Gov Sanwo-Olu Nominates 25 As Commissioners, Advisers, Including Omotoso, The Nation’s Editor

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has nominated a total of 25 persons, comprising 17 men and eight women as commissioners and special advisers and transmitted the list to the assembly for screening.

According to his Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile, the commissioner-designate “are technocrats and politicians who understand the challenges of the state”, whose selection was based on the need “to constitutes the best team that will serve Lagos in line with the agenda of his administration’s vision of delivering a city-state that will rank among the top most visible cities in the world”.

Akosile stated that the current list is the first batch, adding that “consultation was still going on with regards to the complete number of the cabinet members”

“We have a blend of youths who are under 40 among the nominees for commissioners and Special Advisers. Women too are well represented in the list. We believe Lagos deserves the best and we cannot give the people anything less than that,” the statement said.
