Five Killed, Three sustain injuries in fresh attack in Bassa LGA

At least about five persons were confirm killed and others sustained degree of injuries following the resurgence of attack in Irigwe chiefdom, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state.

Our medium gathered that that the incident was perpetrated by unidentified persons at about 7:57 night on Monday night.

It was also gathered that the victims were ambushed and killed by unknown assailants at different village locations of Irigwe chiefdom.

Confirming the incident, the National Publicity Secretary of Irigwe Development Association (IDA), Davidson Malison in Jos the state capital on Tuesday said, “three Women killed at Mararaban Tipper along Nzhwerenvi village, one Man Killed at Kpara village, one was ambushed along Gero Road from Tin Mining Site,taken to the hospital and later gave up his ghost.”

He further disclosed that, “three people sustained gunshots injuries and are currently receiving treatment in a hospital. A bus vehicle was burnt down and motorcycles were carted away.

“Details of Casualties includes;Talatu (Isho) Benson- 45 year-old, Talatu Danladi- 33 year, Mama Danladi – 15 year old, James Yah – 42 year old as well as Adamu Amedi. While the Injured persons are; Godiya Danladi, Redzie I’ve and Alheri Danladi respectively,” Malison stated.

“You would recall recently the Irigwe Development Association (IDA) during a press conference barely one week ago have raised alarm over the attacks and destruction of over 400 farmlands by herders worth over N500m.

Attempts to get police reaction failed as the Police Public Relations Officers, DSP Mathias Ubah, did not pick the calls to his phone.
