
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday faced an unbeaten Ukraine and drew the encounter 1-1 in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, going on in Poland.
With the draw, the Paul Aigbogun boys have qualified for the Round of 16 with four points with Ukraine as the group leader, followed by the United States of America, which beat Qatar 1-0 in another group encounter.
Except for South Africa whose performance has been woeful, having lost their matches to Argentina and Korea in their group matches, other African teams have qualified for the next round of 16. They are Senegal, which is topping their group A with six points and Mali in second place after trouncing Saudi Arabia 7-0 and drew with Panama.
