As part of the strategy to broaden its increasing clientele base, drive and deepen e-commerce in the country and boost its earning in the competitive financial market, one of Nigeria’s fastest growing bank, Fidelity Bank Plc has entered into partnership with the world largest payment network, Visa.

The deal will make payments easier and less stressful through the use of a Quick Response code in a mobile payment system called mVisa, the first of its kind in the country. All the user need to do is to scan the code and input the PIN to conclude the transaction.

“Users of mVisa make payments by scanning a unique merchant QR code using their smartphones. Customers can initiate the payments from their mobile using mVisa application, instead of traditional card swipe on the electronic data machine.

“Merchants can accept these transactions by creating a QR code using application provided to them.”, said the bank.
