The Federal Government has advanced the 2024/2025 nationwide paramilitary recruitment exercise to its final stages, announcing the release of names of successful applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test conducted late last year for recruitment into key security and emergency response agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
A statement issued by the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, retired Major General Abdulmalik Jibril, confirmed that candidates who sat for the November 2025 online recruitment examination can now verify whether they have been shortlisted for the next phase of the exercise.
According to the Board, successful applicants have now progressed to the physical screening and document verification stage, marking a critical phase in one of the Federal Government’s largest recruitment exercises across the country’s paramilitary services.
Jibril directed all applicants who participated in the online Computer-Based Test to access the official recruitment portal, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, between June 15 and June 20, 2026, to check their application status.
He explained that applicants are required to log in using the application number generated during the initial registration process in order to confirm whether they made the shortlist for physical screening.
The statement further disclosed that shortlisted candidates would be required to upload their credentials on the portal and subsequently select their preferred date and screening venue for physical verification.
The Board advised candidates to strictly adhere to all guidelines and instructions provided on the recruitment portal, warning that any failure to comply with the stipulated procedures may result in disqualification from the recruitment process.
In a strong warning against fraudulent activities often associated with public sector recruitment exercises, Jibril reiterated that the entire exercise remains completely free and does not require payment at any point.
He cautioned applicants against individuals, groups, or agents claiming they can influence the recruitment process by offering assistance with shortlisting, document uploads, screening venue allocation, access to screening centres, or final selection.
“The recruitment exercise remains absolutely free. No money should be paid by applicants to any individual, agent, group or organisation claiming to render assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venue or final selection,” the statement said.
The Board also urged Nigerians to disregard fake recruitment messages, suspicious online links, and unauthorised persons falsely claiming to represent the recruitment body, stressing that all official communication regarding the exercise will only be disseminated through approved channels.
The ongoing recruitment exercise covers several federal paramilitary agencies, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Jibril reassured Nigerians that the Board remains committed to ensuring a transparent, credible, and merit-driven recruitment process in line with established regulations guiding federal appointments, as authorities move closer to concluding the nationwide exercise.
