The bill to establish the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Oke Ogun, Oyo state has passed first reading in the Senate while the bill to establish the Federal Polytechnic, Ogbomoso is slated for first reading on 25th April, 2017 when the Senate resumes from break.
Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial district at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, sponsored the bills.
Oyo North Senatorial District has no federal institution before now and during the electioneering campaign Senator Buhari Abdulfatai promised to facilitate federal institution to the district.
“This is another promise kept. We want to appeal to the constituents to continue supporting the senator and pray all these bills and other bills sponsored by him scale through and get assent from the executive,” he said.
