FCT: Police Nab Notorious ‘One Chance’ Couple, Recovers Vehicle

In a streak of crime prevention operations between January 9 and 10, Police Operatives from Utako Police Divisional Headquarters arrested the trio of Chukwudi Okorie ‘m’ 51 years, Chibuzor Okorie ‘f’ 43 years both husband and wife and Esther Gabriel ‘f’ 38 years,  all residents of Akaraka Gwagwa, FCT, in connection with series of robbery, especially ‘one chance’ activities within the FCT and its environs.

The FCT Command Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said that during interrogation, the suspects confessed to have carried out series of ‘one chance’ related activities, whereby unsuspecting passengers are tricked into the car and then robbed, in the FCT before their apprehension.

“A blue Mazda car with Reg No. FCT 590 EV, an operational vehicle used by the syndicate to perpetrate their heinous acts was recovered from one of the suspects”, She noted.

She’s said that “while investigation is still ongoing to apprehend other accomplices, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Haruna G. Garba, wishes to reiterate his unflinching commitment to ensuring FCT remains a safe and peaceful place for residents to stay without fear from any quarters of the Territory.”
