Dalung

The former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Barr. Solomon Selcap Dalung is currently engaged in a war of words with his ward Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Mr Nanmwa Dangnan in Plateau state over his suspension for anti-party activities.

In the letter of suspension made available to our Correspondent, Dangnam of Sabo Gida ward in Langtang South Local Government Council of the state said Dalung was suspended for “anti-party activities, which have been found to be in contravention of the value and principles that are detrimental to the overall interest of the party and its members. Your actions have caused significant harm to the reputation and credibility of the social Democratic party. In light of the above ,we have no other but to suspend you from the party with immediate effect .

Dangnam said the suspension will remain in place pending the outcome of a full investigation into the matter and reminded Dalung that as a member of the SDP he has a responsibility to uphold the party values.

Speaking to our Correspondence on phone while reacting to the “letter of suspension from the party”, Dalung said there is nothing to reply to “the purported written letter was coming from unknown SDP members.”

According to him, he was yet to come across anyone by the name Nanmwa Dangnan from his ward.

Pressed further, Dalung however said the allegations are baseless and unfounded and orchestrated by the opposition party to create confusion among party members.

He explained further that there is “no card-carrying member of Langtang South bearing such a name and disguising as Chairman of Sabo Gida ward Chairman.”

Solomon Dalung called on the general public to disregard, “the fake letter of suspension from my ward.”
