National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called for calm and an end to the ongoing looting, vandalization and destruction of private and public properties across many states in the country.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Saturday during a visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the former governor of Lagos state said the #End SARS protesters conducted themselves peacefully but the infiltration by criminal elements resulting in the ongoing carnage is condemnable.

He said: “The government has set up a judicial panel of enquiry into the protesters demands, the governor in particular is a youth. Before setting up the panel, he went to Abuja with the five-to five to President Muhammadu Buhari and the government responded and he reported back to the public. The President responded.

“Where are we going with the looting, burning and destruction of public and private properties, maiming of the innocent. It is a handshake that has gone beyond the elbow.  We want the government to unravel what happened there.

Asked whether he ran away, he said he did not and laughed it off.

“I am still the Asiwaju of Lagos and the Jagaban. It is fake news. They even said me son, Seyi was kidnapped but he is here with us”
