Less than two weeks to the 2019 general election, the Police Service Commission, PSC, has approved the appointment and redeployment of Commissioners of Police the 36 states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
The appointments, which were based on the recommendation of the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu saw the redeployment to some states while others had their appointments of Commissioners revalidated, according to the PSC Spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani.
According to the PSC, the Commissioners and their new postings are: Etim Ene-Okon-Abia State; Garba Mukaddas-Adamawa State; Bashir Makama-Akwa Ibom; Dandaura Mustapha-Anambra State; Ali Janga-Bauchi State; Olusola David-Bayelsa State; Omololu Bishi-Benue State; Damian Chukwu-Borno State; Austin Iwero Agbonlaho- Cross Rivers State; Adeleke Yinka-Delta State; Awosola Awotunde-Ebonyi State; Odumosu Hakeem-Edo State; Asuquo Amba-Ekiti State; Sulieman Balarabe-Enugu State; Bello Makwasi-Gombe State; Bala Ciroma- FCT; Galadanchi Dasuki- Imo State; Rabiu Ladodo-Jigawa State; Abdulrahman Ahmed-Kaduna State; Mohammed Wakili-Kano State; Buba Sanusi -Kastina; Garba Danjuma-Kebbi State; Hakeem Busari- Kogi State; Ebetokun Kayode-Kwara State; Mu’azu Zubairu- Lagos State; Bola Longe-Nasarawa State; Ibrahim Sabo-Niger State; Ahmed Iliyasu-Ogun State; Undie Adie-Ondo State; Olukolu Shina-Oyo State; Abiodun Ige-Osun; Isaac Aknimoyed-Plateau State; Belel Usman-Rivers State; Ibrahim Kaoje-Sokoto State; Alkassam Sanusi-Taraba State; Sumonu Abdulmalik-Yobe State and Celestine Okoye-Zamfara State.
Chairman of the PSC, ex-IGP Musiliu Smith charged the Commissioners to resume immediately in their stations so they can settle down before the commencement of the plans for conduct of the polls on February 16 and March 2.
