As Muslims in Abia State join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the Id-El-Fitri, the Police Command in the state has assured the people of its continued resolve to protect their lives and property.
This was contained in a statement issued by the state Commissioner of Police Leye Adeleye, which was signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Geoffrey Ogbonna and obtained by our correspondent.
According to the statement, “In the Command’s Security Calendar, it need be mentioned that every month of the year, whether ‘Ember’ or ‘Festive,’ are usually regarded as important.
It said in that wise, the command had put in place adequate security architecture, to cover all designated praying venues, motor parks and recreation centres, before, during and after the period.
Oyebade urged Muslims to use the period to reflect on the Federal Government’s present economic and political position and to pray for God’s intervention to make its recovery plans effective.
