Eid-el-Fitr: Oyo NSCDC Deploys 2500 Personnel

Ahead of Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, which forms part of activities marking the end of Ramadan fast, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State Command has deployed no fewer than 2500 officers across the state.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen and signed by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Oluwole Olusegun in Ibadan, the state capital, over the weekend.

According to the release, State Commandant of the Corps, John Oyedokun Adewoye  who made the call during Ramadan prayer organized by the command Muslim community at the command state headquarters  mosque, explained that the action has become necessary in view of some security challenges facing the country.

He urged Muslim faithfuls and all Nigerian to extend the teaching of giving , love and abstinence from sin learnt during the Ramadan to their daily life.

The agency assured the people that its personnel would provide adequate security at Eid praying ground, critical national assets, film houses, , recreation and attractive centers.
