The proprietor of Yabma International Science Academy, Lokoja, Kogi state , Hon. Yunusa Yakubu, has called on Government at all levels to increase budgetary allocations to education sector to save it from total collapse.
This is as he said, if the present standard of education is not quickly addressed, it will affect the entire system of our national lives.
Hon. Yakubu Yunusa , a former Majority Leader of the Kogi state House of Assembly, made the call in his office while fielding questions from Journalists over the ongoing WAEC Examinations.

He stated that , they in the private Education Sector have been brainstorming since the outbreak to keep their premises and students safe, adding that Yabma International Science Academy has substantially complied with the NCDC protocols for the school’s resumption.
According to him , ” We at the Yabman International Science Academy are always prepared. We have complied with all the protocols. The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology was here to see what we are doing. The Permanent Secretary of the ministry was also here and they were amazed at what we are doing here”

They are conscious of their environment, as they are always wearing their face masks, regular washing of hands with sanitizers. In fact, our students, asides from the the ones the school provided, each student has its own sanitizers. We have standby cleaners who are taking care of the classrooms and the entire premises.” He said.
The former legislator turned school administrator, explained that despite the harsh effect of the COVID-19 on the economy, he has been able to pay the salaries of his teachers as at when due, assuring that the teachers have just been paid their August salaries.
He noted that the existing trust between the management and staff has made them to co-operate with the decisions of the management, hence, eliminating industry disharmony.
He further assured that with the level of preparation , the school is set to record 100 % pass rate in the ongoing WAEC and NECO examinations to surpass the 99% pass rate achieved in the previous years.
He added that the cankerworm of examination malpractices is allien to the school , saying the quality of teachers and academic disciplines inculcated into the students would forbid them coming closer to commit the offence.
He however, called on other school owners to ensure that the quality of education is maintained at all time and to be considerate in the fees charged , stressing that his fees have remained uncharged since the establishment of the school in 2014.
