Cristiano Ronaldo Suspended For Five Games

Man of the match in Sunday’s 3-1 Real Madrid defeat of rival Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup first leg, Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a five games ban after he was sent off in the match. He earned two yellow and was caught pushing the referee from behind.

A breakdown of his offense shows that he was given a one-match ban for being shown two yellow cards at the Nou Camp, one for taking off his shirt to celebrate and another for a dive.

A further four games were added for pushing the referee from behind.
