
In its frantic efforts aimed at reducing the spread of corona virus pandemic, Kaduna State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has acquired and distributed customized face masks to its personnel.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, State Commandant, Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma explained that the gesture apart from reducing the worrisome spread of the pandemic in spite of government efforts is aimed at obeying government directive on the mandatory use of it by all and sundry.
Dutsinma restated that use of the newly acquired masks by officers and men of the command, especially those enforcing the lockdown policy in the state will assist in minimising their vulnerability while performing their duties.
According to him, the corps as a disciplined service under its Commandant General, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu is poised to ensuring that all government policies are implemented hence, the mandatory use of the masks.
He expressed desire to enforce government’s directives aimed to combat the devastating effects of COVID-19, urging residents to report any suspected case of the pandemic to NCDC for quick response.
It is for the reason of total compliance that all the personnel in the command from without any exception are involved in enforcing the lockdown, Dutsinma emphasised,
