Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, boyfriend and killer of a National Youth Service Corps member, Salome Adaidu, has been sentenced to death by hanging by the Nasarawa State High Court.
Justice Simon Aboki convicted and sentenced Ajayi to death on Thursday after he was found guilty of one count of culpable homicide.
The Nasarawa State Police Command had arrested Ajayi on January 12.
He allegedly invited Salome, a serving corps member to his house, where she was murdered and her body dismembered.
The suspect had admitted to the crime, claiming that he killed Salome after discovering she was cheating on him.
He however pleaded not guilty to the killing of Salome when he was arraigned before Justice Aboki at the High Court 2 in Lafia on January 27.
