Court Remands two Minors in Jos North LGA Juvenile Home

A Senior Magistrate Court in Plateau State on Tuesday remanded two minors on a four count charge of stealing, house breaking ,theft and conspiracy, to a children juvenile home at Laranto in Jos North Local Government Council .

At least two minors aged between 12 and 16 years were nabbed by security agents in Angwan Rukubu of Old Legislative Quarters, Kantagora Road and were arraigned before the Senior Magistrate Court at West of Mines in Jos, the state capital on a four count charge.

Mr Michael Ngwobia, the complainant, said that on April 29, 2022 at about 5 p:m he reported the incident to the Nigeria Police Divisional office in Nasarawa Gwom. He said that the two minors entered into the compound of the applicant and stole wires worth millions of naira .

The Prosecution charge them with criminal conspiracy, house breaking, mischief and theft.

The defendants were arrested with cops cable wire and sockets value at N466,000.  The suspect confessed to have broken into the house of  the complainant /applicant and removed his wires .

The offense is punishable under section 59 ,336 ,272 and 313 of the Plateau State penal code. The minors were thereby remanded at a juvenile home in the local government.
