The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), held special prayers for the progress of the state as part of its advocate for good governance.
Members of the Chapel also prayed for the smooth practice of the journalism profession in the state devoid of rancour and acrimony between government and the citizens.
While commending the immediate past Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for smooth administration throughout his tenure and successful handing over to the incumbent Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, members asked God to grant him the wisdom to continue to give useful advice that would uplift Kogi better than he left it.
The Chapel members who affirmed that the incumbent governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo within his few months in office has done well, prayed God to grant him enablement disposition that would bring democracy dividends to the people of the state.
Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Segun Salami of the Channels Television, said that the programme was put in place in the spirit of encouraging good governance that would usher in the needed democracy dividends for the people of the state.
