Civi Defense Boss Preaches Peace On Children’s Day

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Alhaji Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu has urged children to live in peace and harmony as well as embrace one another as one great family created by God.

In a statement issued by the body to commemorate this year’s Children’s Day.

Gana urged “children to show love, embrace one another, promote sustainable peaceful coexistence and also shun violence.”

He also advised parents, guardians, political actors, agitators and stakeholders to embrace peace towards nation building.

The Commandant General said the Corps would continue to work to ensure peaceful conduct of its officers in the discharge of “our mandate especially in the protection of critical infrastructure and national assets and the protection of the civil populace without compromise.”
