The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has announced the postponement of matches under its watch following World Health Organisation declaration of the Coronavirus as a pandemic.
The World Cup competition matches in the junior and senior categories are affected by the postponement.
Thus the return leg of the women under 17 qualifier between Nigeria and their Guinean counterpart billed for Agege Stadium, Lagos, Nigeria on March 25 has been shifted to a date yet to be announced. The Nigerian team had spanked Guinea 6-1 in the first leg in Conakry, a fortnight ago.
Similarly, the Super Eagles Qualifier billed for Asaba, Delta State has been shifted to November, 2020, while Women Under 20 march slated for March 20 to 27 has been postponed. A new date is yet to be announced for the postponed tournaments.
