An aspirant for the Plateau Senatorial bye- election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Te’el Dashe Stephen has appealed to the delegates to make the right choice of men of integrity who have the pedigree to identify the primary needs of the people and promote the tenet of democracy.
Stephen in an interview with our correspondent at the premises of the Plateau state Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Jos, said, as a leading aspirant in the 2019 general polls the state government, suppressed me by asking me to step down for the late Sen Ignatius Longjan so I deem it necessary to come back and kick-start my genuine idea of working towards repositioning the lives of our rural populace where development is yet to reach them.”
He said though he knows that the delegates know the best candidate amongst all the aspirants vying for the position of Plateau Southern seat, “I have campaigned across the six local government councils and have established a close relationship with the grassroots voters.”
According to him, the major problem of our rural populace in Langtang South, Wase LGAs is the non- existence of potable drinking water, “ which if given the mandate would be my focus by making sure dams will be constructed to ease the plight people who can’t access quality supply.”
He also stressed that subsistence farming would be replaced with mechanized system to improve the challenges of foods security in the zone.
