The Imam’s corpse, being prepared for burial
Telling pictures have emerged to show that the Wednesday evening attack on some Borno state villages by over 200 Boko Haram terrorists was devastating.
The attack which left 15 persons dead and the setting ablaze of one of the village’s Imam and his family members, took place in Kofi, Abba Malumi, Gozari and Dalori II Internally Displaced Persons Camp, all in Konduga Local Government of the northeastern state.
The Imam is said to have stayed back while others fled but the terrorist took no mercy on him and his family, according to reports from some of the villagers who fled.

Apart from human beings, the marauders spared no animals in the villages they attacked
But the Nigerian Army had claimed that its men, troops of the 251 Task Force, foiled the attack.
It said in a statement: “The terrorists gained access through a bush path behind the village in four vehicles and some motorcycles. They ransacked the market in front of IDP camp. “On sighting own troops that were mobilized to the area, they set some houses and market ablaze and fled along Maiduguri-Bama Road. However one civilian was found dead. “Own troops are presently assisting the villagers who ran into the bush back to their homes while the Borno Fire Service have contained the inferno,”
