The dramatic turnaround was completed when 17-year-old prodigy Yamal curled a magnificent 25-yard effort into the top corner during stoppage time, with Torres adding a fourth shortly after.
Diego Simeone’s side appeared on course for a victory that would have significantly enhanced their title credentials, but their defence capitulated in uncharacteristic fashion during the final 20 minutes.
The defeat leaves Atletico trailing both Barcelona and Real Madrid, dealing a substantial blow to their championship aspirations.
