Chairman of the nPDP, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje has said that the ruling APC is yet to respond to the demands made by the group the previous week, adding that the meeting which it had on Monday was fruitful

“The meeting was fruitful, though we are yet to conclude it”, he told journalists after emerging from a meeting with the NWC of the APC led by its Deputy National Chairman, Sen. Shuaibu Lawal.

He however denied earlier reports that the group issued an ultimatum to the ruling party, maintaining that “We are party members, this office is ours; we have only come home to discuss those observations. When talks begin, you can’t say it will end on a particular day, it goes on and on. But it is a good beginning.”

Lawal, who led other NWC members to the meeting, said the party was taking the group’s grievances and demands seriously. He said the issues raised in the demands of the splinter nPDP would be taken to the presidency for action
