APC: Abuja High Court Extends Giadom’s Acting Chairmanship for 14 Days.

An Abuja High Court in Abuja on Thursday extended the Chairmanship position of Chief Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress for the next two weeks.

Delivering judgment in an interim order before it by the Counsel’s plaintiff, Wole Afolabi, Counsel, on June 16, Justice S.U Bature, said “Chief Victor Giadom, present Acting National Secretary is allowed by the order to pilot the affairs of the party as Acting National Chairman and to preside over at all meetings of the National Executive Committee, NEC, pending the decision of the NEC of the party fixed for March 17 or any adjourned date pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice”

The order, which had officials of the party, namely, Babatunde Ogala, Lanre Issa-Onilu, Waziri Bulama and the APC as defendants, restrained the party to from preventing Giadom to act in his capacity as Acting National Chairman.

The court also ordered that Comrade Mustapha Salihu, the APC National Vice V Chairman, North east to act as National Secretary.

Meanwhile, the party has appointing Chief Abiola Ajimobi as Acting National Chairman in the place of Adams Oshiomhole whose suspension as National Chairman was upheld by the Appeal Court in affirmation of a High Court ruling in March 24, which upheld Oshiomhole’s suspension by his Ward in Auchi, Edo State.

The Ajimobi leadership has even gone ahead to appoint a governorship election committee for Edo state party primaries for the governorship holding on June 22. Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State heads the committee.
