Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has scored a landslide victory at his polling unit in Saturday’s governorship election in Anambra State.
At Polling Unit 002, Umuezeadigo Street, Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area, Soludo secured an overwhelming 417 votes, reaffirming his stronghold in his hometown.
His closest rival, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), managed to secure only four votes, while the Accord Party candidate received a single vote.
According to the Presiding Officer, Miss Obiorah Anwulike, who announced the results around 5:30 p.m., a total of 430 voters were accredited at the unit, with eight ballots declared invalid.
Observers at the scene described the voting process as peaceful, orderly, and transparent, with security agents ensuring calm throughout the exercise.
