The Director General of renewed vision for New Direction Campaigns Office for Ododo/Joel 2023, Chief Akerejola, Abiodun, has hailed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for refuting the claim by Social Democratic Party (SDP) that its staff are reconfiguring the BVAS in Government House, Lokoja, ahead of the November 11 governorship election.

The Director General in a statement made available to Journalists in Lokoja, on Monday, appreciated INEC for its quick response to clear the name of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and that of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state.

Chief Akerejola Abiodun called for the arrest of the Director of New Media of the SDP Campaign Council, David Ijele who signed the false statement accusing INEC staff of reconfiguring the BVAS

Chief Akerejola Abiodun described the allegation in the said publication as false and malicious.

“This is because the intention of this mischief makers is to throw our Peaceful state into chaos as SDP knows that their candidate is unpopular who stands to lose the November governorship polls

“APC in Kogi will continue to remain calm and law abiding and be focused on winning the election”
