Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has cautioned caretaker chairmen of Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) to avoid activities that could lead to communication gap between the government and the people.
He urged them to be ready to serve the people by focusing on grassroots development in their localities and contribute their quotas to the positive transformation of the state.
Sen. Ajimobi said this at the weekend while declaring open a-two day training and induction program for newly appointed Caretaker Chairmen of Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas, held at the Premier Hotel, Ibadan.
The Governor, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr. Gbade Ojo, enjoined the LGs/LCDAs’ bosses to imbibe the spirit of humility, hard-work and listening ear in order to get the state developed.
Sen. Ajimobi charged the Caretaker Chairmen to think out of the box in order to utilize the available resources, adding that they should block all the Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) leakages to ensure full utility of the funds available.
