The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened its portal for the registration of candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) nationwide.
The Board, in its weekly bulletin released on Monday, assured prospective candidates of a seamless registration process, noting that mechanisms have been put in place to ensure efficient service delivery at all approved centres.
JAMB advised candidates to register only at accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, Professional Registration Centres and its offices across the federation.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting, the Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, urged candidates with biodata issues such as name or date of birth discrepancies to resolve them with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) before registration, stressing that the Board would rely solely on data generated by NIMC.
According to him, registration for UTME candidates, including foreign applicants, will run from Monday, January 26, 2026, to Saturday, February 28, 2026, while e-PIN vending commenced on Monday, January 19, and will end on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
He added that the sale of Direct Entry (DE) application documents and e-PIN vending will begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, and end on Saturday, April 25, 2026, and would only be available at JAMB zonal and state offices.
Prof. Oloyede disclosed that three categories of e-PINs are available: Direct Entry at ₦5,700; UTME without Mock at ₦7,200; and UTME with Mock at ₦8,700.
He explained that the charges include: JAMB application fee of ₦3,500; reading text at ₦1,000; CBT centre registration service charge of ₦700; CBT centre UTME service charge of ₦1,500; bank charges of ₦500; and mock-UTME centre charge of ₦1,500.
On examination dates, the Registrar said the 2026 UTME will hold from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026, while the optional Mock-UTME is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026.
JAMB reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent and credible admissions process, urging candidates to comply strictly with official guidelines and timelines.
