NNPP national leader and presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has urged NNPP and Kwankwasiyya supporters nationwide to continue to unite and work for the success of the party.
Kwankwaso made the call at a ceremony organised to mark his 69th Birthday, held at his Miller Road Residence in Kano, on Tuesday.
He thanked the NNPP National Chairman, Dr Ajuji Ahmed, other NNPP members from about 30 States in the federation, Kwankwasiyya followers and dignitaries from all parts of the country for gracing the occasion.
The former governor of the State also commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for initiating policies and programmes for the development of the state.
In his remarks at the occasion, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf said the Kwankwasiyya family remained strong and united, despite the “evil machinations of some people.
“No matter what the hypocrites do overtly or covertly, we, the Kwankwasiyya family, will continue to be united, resolute and strong, by the grace of God”, the governor said.
“Our leader, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, myself, the NNPP government in the state, its officials and the entire members of the Kwankwasiyya family remain united and strong, despite the evil machinations of people who want to see us disunited”, Yusuf added.
He extolled the virtues of Dr Rabi’u Kwankwaso, describing him as a selfless and God-fearing leader who had always worked assiduously for the advancement of the people.
“God has given us a God-fearing and selfless leader in the person of Sen Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, who loves the people of Kano State and indeed, all Nigerians, and who works for their progress and development”, he said.
Yusuf promised that his administration would continue to develop the state in accordance with the Kwankwasiyya ideology.
