The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a total of 7,415,760 Nigerians has completed their online pre-registration as part of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise between October 6 and 12, 2025.
According to the data released by INEC, Borno State led the chart with 783,546 pre-registrations, representing 10.57% of the total figure. It was followed by Osun State with 632,751 (8.53%), Lagos State with 590,341 (7.96%), and Kebbi State with 557,778 (7.52%).
Other states with significant participation include Ogun (489,282), Kaduna (471,375), Kano (388,354), and Kogi (341,277). The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) also recorded an impressive 228,020 registrations (3.07%).
At the lower end of the table, Abia State had the least number of pre-registrations with 6,038 (0.08%), followed by Edo (11,166) and Ebonyi (12,489).
The report highlights growing voter interest across the country, with northern states accounting for a major share of the online registration.
INEC reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a credible and inclusive registration process ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
