The Secretary to Government of Kogi State, Dr. Mrs Folahade Ayoade has urged parents to embrace proper upbringing of their children in a manner that would add value to their living and contribution to their immediate society.
Ayoade gave the advice while speaking at the graduation, speech and prize giving day ceremony for the 2025 final year students of the Celebrity International School, Lokoja, on Saturday
She emphasized that parents should ensure that their children are not influenced into embarking on social vices such as cultism, hard drugs, financial and examination fraud amongst others.
She described children as gift from God and future leaders who must be adequately taken care of, interms of providing them with conventional education and home training.
In his Keynote address, the Special Guest of Honour, at the event and Senior Pastor, Revival House Church, Lokoja, Snr. Pst Dr. Halidu Abraham encouraged parents that the labour of training their children will not be invain but will be rewarded accordingly.

“Provision of adequate training for children will surely enable them acquire sustainable career for a living”
He admonished the graduating students to be good ambassadors of their school and strive to further their education as they go into the wider world in search of knowledge and other means of survival.
Earlier, the Proprietor of Celebrity International School, Lokoja, Dr. Aminu Patrick, disclosed that the institution which was established in September, 2017 has a total number of 18 SS3 graduating students and 20 JS3 to SS1 students while 29 students are transitioning from Nursery to Primary level of education.
Mr. Segun Salami, Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Chairman of the School, who also spoke at the occasion, promised that the association will continue to complement the institution’s authority efforts to give qualitative education to their children.
He commended the management for the success story recorded in the school since its establishment and solicited for the sustenance of the tempo.
