The Edo State Government has announced the immediate closure of all satellite campuses operating outside the main campus of Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma.

Umar Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government, directed that all academic programmes must be conducted exclusively at the university’s main campus.

Ikhilor explained that the decision is part of ongoing efforts to improve educational standards and ensure better oversight of academic activities.

He reiterated that the move aligns with Okpebholo’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education at the institution.

The government further highlighted that substantial investments have been made in AAU, with the centralisation of academic activities expected to improve both learning conditions and operational efficiency.
