Former Chief Security Officer to the First Civilian Governor of Plateau State, Chief Solomon Daushep Lar has tasked the federal government to introduce stern including waiving human rights laws as part of measures to tackle kidnapping,farmers /herders clashes and address challenges of unemployment including hunger in the land.
Speaking to this medium in Jos ,HRH ,Ponzhi Timloh V. expressed sadness with the manner the rising rate of insecurity , incessant attacks and kidnapping business has increased in the country without abating.
He urged government to review human right laws when it comes to Criminality and take welfare of Nigerian as the topmost priority instead of supporting and promoting crime and criminality .
In addition, ha said that to end criminalities such as abduction , kidnapping, herders clashes state and federal need to repeal laws on capital punishment and ensure that every traditional ruler should take statistics of men and women in their domain .
Timloh emphasized that these offences are linked to “human rights especially land grabbers who should be punished by the act on land disputes prohibiting foreigners from occupying land illegally .
He urged the present government to set up committees to investigate the cause of conflict on land across the local governments and fish out perpetrators.
