
For failure to comply with provisions of Section 12 c, f, g, h of Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act, 2020, dealing with regulation, corporate governance, risk management and other activities that pose a threat to financial stability, the board and management of Union Bank, Polaris Bank and Keystone Bank were on Wednesday fired by the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria,CBN.
Acting Director, Corporate Communications of the apex bank, Mrs Sidi Ali Hakama said the decision was taken in “the interest of a sound and robust financial system in Nigeria.”
” Our banking system remains strong and resilient,” she said
