Bandits Strike Again in Plateau State

Many people are fear killed as suspected Tarok  militias attacked some communities in Kadarko District of Wase, Local Government Area of Plateau State on Tuesday .

The member representing Wase Constituency in the State Assembly ,Hon.Hon Ibrahim Galadima Adamu confirmed the incident to our correspondent on phone when contacted.

Adamu disclosed that as a a concerned lawmaker representing the people of Wase LGA in the state assembly, he has spoke with tbe appropriate security personnel to bring the situation under control .

He condemned the attacks which lead to the death of innocent people in Wase LGA but prayed for intervention by government to bring the situation under control for protection of lives and properties of his constituent .

According to him,” this attacks is too many within the same festive season of celebration of life and time of Jesus Christ,” while he urged the people to eschew politics of bitterness and resentment and embrace each other .

Adamu harped on the unity and oneness among the peace loving people of Wase LGA for them to enjoy the dividends of democracy .

Meanwhile, the Ponzhi Otarok of Kadarko Chiefdom , Chief Lot Nden confirmed the attack in the earlier hours of Tuesday, adding that some group of bandits suspected to be Tarok stormed villages and started shooting sporadically, injury innocent people .

Ponzhi Lot stated “these Tarok Militias group were brought and camped in some locations within Kadarko District and used dangerous weapons to inflict damage and pains to our innocent people in Wase LGA.

However ,some group of concerned Tarok people in Wase LGA said that they are aware of the sponsorship of some Tarok boys to cause acrimony between the two factional group loyal to the state government and those loyal to the APC in Wase LGA.

The group urged the aggrieved rampaging killers to lay down their guns for the development of peace in Wase instead of personal self- interest .

Besides ,Wase LGA in Plateau State had witnessed too many bloodbath’s leading to the death of people that were cut in the web’s of the incessant attacked and killings since 1998 .

Efforts to speak with the member representing Wase Federal Constituency , Hon.Idris Ahmed Maje Wase proved abortive as he replied to neither several phone calls nor text messages.

So too did the Transition Committee Chairman of Wase LGA ,Hon .Hamisu Anani who failed to pick up calls including text messages sent to his phone for prompt response.

However,one of the Kadarko Chiefs explained that suspected Tarok militias were sponsored from Zamgur community and camped in villages to wreck havoc. He alleged that they are ardent supporters of either Galadima of Wadata or a militant, Shehu Jatau who is still in correctional center since his prosecution.

He explained that “it is quite unfortunate that the Tarok is carrying armed and ammunition against his own fellow brothers and destroying lives and properties of their own people.”
