The Federal Government has pledged to sustain the fight against terrorism in the country despite the painful setback caused by the error bombing of civilians on Kaduna State by the military on Sunday night.
As at press time over 85 persons ate confirmed dead from the bombing.
Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle gave this assurance when he led a government delegation on a condolence visit to the victims in Agabi Local government of the state and the state government.
Director of Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, Henshaw Ogubike said the Minister, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Dr Ibrahim GANA, condemned the sad incident and stayed that inspire of it the fight against terrorism would continue.
“We are not going to relent in our fight against terrorism because these criminals must be defeated. The Minister and his team who also visited the injured victims receiving treatment at the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Kaduna, said the government would support the families of the victims and reassured everyone that the board of enquiry set up by the government would assist with measures to avoid a reoccurrence.
