The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has directed Assistant Inspector Generals of Police and state Commissioner of Police to enforce the treatment of Victims of Gunshot Act immediately.
The directive, which was sequel to an enquiry from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, was issued by Commissioner of Police and Principal Staff Officer to the IGP, Olatunju Disu.
In response, the IGP said the compulsory treatment and care for Victims of Gunshot Act ” must be enforced without hesitation and be made a subject of lecture and circulated widely for members of the public to be aware of our compliance with the National Law”
