The National Executive Committee, NEC of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC on Thursday ratified the appointment of former Kano governor, Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the party and former Senate Spokesperson, Senator Ajibola Bashiru as its National Secretary.
The former governor and Senate mouthpiece will fill the vacancies created by the resignation of former National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Iyiola Omisore.
Ahead of Thursday’s meeting of the NEC, National Legal Adviser of All Progressives Congress, APC, Ahmed El-Marzuq, resigned from his position in the party’s National Working Committee, NCW.

El-Marzuq resigned on Wednesday following in the footsteps of Vice-Chairman of the party in the Northwest, Dr Salihu Lukman, National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore and National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adam.

El-Marzuq reportedly gave no reason for his resignation though there are speculations that it may not be unconnected with the exit of Adamu, said to be his benefactor.
