West Africa Elders Forum, an organisation of former West African Presidents, will arrive in Liberia tomorrow, to explore viable ways to sustain peace and tranquillity ahead the October elections.

As mandated by the country’s constitution, the fourth post- war election will hold on October,10, 2023.

The team will meet with President George Weah and key players in the country.

The forum had held similar tours in Senegal, Gambia, Nigeria and recently in Sierra Leone, where they performed well in stabilising the polity.

The team leader, former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan revealed that the forum is determined to sustain democratic norms in West Africa, despite three of its members, Guinea, Mali and Burkina Faso are still under military governance.

Other members, including Ernest Koroma, are positive that West Africa has come of age in democratic and peaceful transition over the years.

The forum, in active collaboration with Ernest Koroma, is seeking peaceful resolution to the current All Peoples Congress , APC, non- acceptance of President Bio and his party, Sierra Leone Peoples Party, SLPP, victory in the recent polls in Sierra Leone.
