CAF 20: Senegal trounces Tunisia 3-0 to zoom into final.

Cub Lions of Senegal on Monday at the Suez Canal Stadium Ismailia trounced the Junior Carthage Lions of Tunisia in the 1st Semifinal of the U20 African Youth Championships 3-0.

Attacking Midfielder, Lamine Camara scored a brace; two goals in a match when he pounced on a back pass error in the 17th minute and increased it with the 3rd goal in the 52nd minute.

Irrepressible Papa Diop scored the first goal f the game in the 7th minute making his goals haul five, the highest so far in the games looking good for the Golden Boot Award.

Senegal looked eager to win the match from the blast of the whistle with 13 shots at goal of which were on target; Tunisia had 8 shots at goal with only one shot on target. Senegal had 24 fouls against of Tunisia. There were 5-2 corner kicks in favor of Senegal.

Senegal had lost two previous encounters with Tunisia. On 11th September 2022 Senegal lost 0-1 and on 14th February 2023 she lost again 1-2.

The two most valuable players of the tournament are from Senegal and Tunisia. Mohammed Diop, Attacking Mid Fielder of FC Sheriff Tiraspol who is worth 500k Euros and Al-Ahly of Cairo Mohammed Dhaoui 1m Euros.

As it stands, Tunisia will now meet the loser between Nigeria and Gambia on Friday 10th March at 1600 hours. Nigerian that is appearing in the 15th semifinal, a record that will take time to meet, is meeting Gambia in the 2nd Semifinal Monday at 1800 hours.
