The All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential flag bearer, Senator Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu has promised to industrialized Nigeria if given the mandate and build small, micro enterprises and skills acquisition for take-off, as he lambasted the People Democratic Party for poor performance in the last 16 years in power.
Speaking during the official flagging ceremony of the APC and the handing over campaign flag to Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu at the Rwang Pam stadium on Tuesday in Jos.
He said, hope is back for the dwindling economic situation in Nigeria because in , Asia and Israel when the situation became critical the people brought their old generals into power, so we did the same in 2015, when killings and insecurity was almost taken over the country, we vote for President Muhammadu Buhari who today is called the hero of our democracy that salvage us from all the challenges.
According to him, PMB has secured the country by embarking on roads rehabilitation, railways construction and rebuilding the country industrial sectors “where we can say thank you, under your leadership our hope has been renewed again.”
Tinubu said that he is proud to be the candidate of the APC to continue with the good work of President Buhari, saying that “what I see today marks the beginning of handing over the mantle of leadership.”
He stressed that the president has provided essential services for Nigerians, and he has contributed positively to the restoration of the country democracy whether the opposition likes it or not.
Ahmed Tinubu explained further that, “thanks to God almighty God we have been delivered from the “wounds of failure of the PDP government so as the disciples of the APC, Nigerian should go to sleep if given the mandate.”
He commended the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu for “taking the bold step to redirect and rescue the APC and brought back confidence to the most popular party in Africa.
Tinubu applauded the APC governors for their overwhelming solidarity support for his candidature, adding that today calls for sober reflection and the celebration of the host wife, and former governor of Nasarawa state Almakura .
He pointed out that Plateau state is rich in mineral deposit especially the tin, ” so with the personality of Simon Bako Lalong we have reaffirmed our commitment and friendship to bring the success of tourism, agriculture potential to citizens as dividends of democracy.”
Tinubu reiterated that ,” we want to sweep Nigeria clean and get rite of termites that help to destroy the economic fortune of the country because APC has signed covenant with Nigerian, adding that” we shall cultivate land and bring food and build research institute to produce our own medicine and also stabilize the electricity which can provide energy for our teeming masses to manage their businesses.
He disclosed that the ongoing oil exploration would be highly encouraged to developed it to commercial quantity towards boosting the economic fortunes of the country, saying, ” we see that hope is not lost, I won’t let you down but bring revival and change which can free youth from the poverty level.”
Ahmed Tinubu added that ,” the wrong theory of Anambra and Atiku Abubakar is pushing them crazy they don’t have anything to offer the electorate but get your PVCs ready to vote people that can’t add anything to the country “.
The former Governor of Plateau state Senator Joshua Dariye said he came in to show solidarity on behalf of the people of the state and he promised overwhelming votes for the party in the upcoming general elections.
Dariye noted that the APC supporters are willing and prepared to vote for someone that have the pedigreero provide the dividends of democracy at all levels
