NDDC: Buhari Appoints Emma Audu-Ohwavborua Acting MD

 

 

President Muhhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Eng Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua as Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, in acting capacity, following the sacking of the Interim Administrator, Effiong Okon Akwa on Thursday.

Audu-Ohwavborua is the most seniour Director in the Commission and was appointed in line with the Federal Government Circular dated December 4, 2017, with Ref. No. 50/S./C.2/268, pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director and member of the governing board.

Conveying the appointment in a statement on Thursday, Director of Press at the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Patricia Deworitshe said the appointment was sequel to the President’s approval of the sacking of the Interim Administrator earlier in the day.
