Police Re-arrest Armed-robbery Suspect

Less than two weeks after a court ordered his release from remand, one Chisom Ajaero, who was standing trial before the court for alleged unlawful procession of armed has been arrested by the Police on suspicion of armed robbery in Aba.

Abia State Commissioner for Police, Mr. Leye Oyebade stated this at the State Police Command Headquarters, along Bende Road in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, where the suspect was paraded along others for various crimes.

Oyebade, describing the suspect as a notorious armed robber whose syndicate had been terrorizing the city and its environs, added that operatives attached to Ndiegoro Division in the commercial city arrested him upon a tip-off.

The police-boss, who said the other armed robbery suspects included David Frank, Osita Okafor, added that one of them whose name was given simply as Kelechi from Port Harcourt in Rivers State was on the run.

Other suspects were Chidiebere Ugaga, Usen Kenneth; receiving stolen vehicles, Obi Nkemakolam; burglary, Adiele Enyinnaya, Chibuike Nwadialo, Smart Uchendu,Ebuka Stephen, and Uchenna John; burglary and stealing,

Also were Ibuchi Uba and Chibuzor Francis; defilement, Chikwado Isiguzo; car snatching, Chinemerem Isaiah Chioma Mark, Ezinne Obia, Abigail Udofia child stealing, Francis Nwachukw, Victor Abel, Ikechukw Nnabugwu, and Ujoatuonu Okechukwu; cultism.

The rest were Ejike Igbokwe; impersonation Chinedu Michael, Obinna Ndubuisi, Emeka ifeanyi and Solomon aka Oyibo; hoodlums, Pauline George, Ukackwukwu George, Loveday Eduka; arson, Christian Nnalue aka Africa, armed robbery/kidnapping.

Stating that investigations into the matters were still ongoing, he said the command had been fair, firm and professional in discharging its duties as well as putting into consideration the core values police, and fundamental human rights.
