Former Lagos Governor and APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu BAT, after prolonged consultations with party stakeholders, has chose Kabir Ibrahim Masari as VP placeholder candidate, to beat INEC deadline on Friday, 2022.
Masari hails from Katsina. He is kinsman of Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina state and was one-time secretary of the party under the regime of Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman.
A party chieftain, Kabir Faskari said Tinubu made the choice after consultation with President Mohammadu Buhari and governors of the party. He said Masari had worked closely with Tinubu and he is a grassroots man who would add value to the campaign. But party sources said Masari is a standby candidate submitted by the party to beat INEC deadline while the party and its candidate continue the search for a suitable candidate before the window closes in July 17, 2021.
