Former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi on Monday emerged as the presidential candidate of Labour party at the party’s primary held in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
He was the sole candidate after another aspirant, Professor Pat Utomi stepped down for him. Another aspirant, Joseph Faduri also stepped down for Obi.
Addressing delegates at the Orchids Hotels, G.R.A in Asaba, Utomi said the party has what it takes to restructure Nigeria and restore the broken sectors of the economy and government.
He was accompanied by leaders of some parties that joined Labour to become the Third Force Movement under the umbrella of the National Consultative Forum, NCFront.
Delegates Awaiting accreditation
Head of publicity of the NCFront, Malam Tanko Yunusa in Asaba on Monday, called on “more leaders of conscience to join the moving train of the Ballot Revolution of the working people in alliance with Labour Party to take Nigeria to greater heights.
