Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu
With the disqualification of Wale Oluwo and Abdul Ahmed Mustafa by the All Progressives Congress Screening Committee, incumbent governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo- Olu emerged unchallenged in the governorship primary of the party conducted at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan on Thursday.
In the election conducted for the record, Sanwo-Olu got 1,170 votes from the 1,198 accredited delegates. In a tweet after his victory, Sanwo-Olu said: “I am greatful to God, the distinguished delegates and the leadership of the APC for the chance to continue the good work of governance that we have begun in our state. With the resounding victory in the primary election, I am confident that we are united and ready.”
