The Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council of Plateau State ,Hon. Shehu Bala Usman has denied allegations that he siphoned campaign funds meant for campaigns during the bye election of Jos North/Bassa federal constituency. The election held on February 26, 2022.
Speaking on phone to our correspondent ,Bala expressed sadness that the councillors were “been manipulated and misled by selfish politician out to caused crises in the state.”
Hon Bala explained that the story is not true and stressed that the campaign funds was shared to all stakeholders and the record is there to show for it. He challenged anyone who claimed to have a contrary evidence to come forward and provide it before security agencies .
He said the party work very hard for the victory of APC in last election except for a few group of saboteurs and the sabotage which took place on the day of the election.
According to Shehu Bala ,the Jos North bye- election was a fabrication of few individuals who worked towards creating problem in the council, arguing that as the leader of the council he worked hard to ensure that the state return to home and peace and tourism.
On Tuesday aggrieved councillors mobilized to impeach the Majority Leader and Chief Whip of the House and immediately elected their replacements. They alleged that the two principal officers colluded with the Chairman to pocket the money that should have been shared among members to mobilize their constituencies for the for election
Hon Bala condemned in it and expressed dissatisfaction with the manner which some politician want use the opportunity to create crises in the Council.
