Troops of the 4 Brigade of the Nigerian Army on Wednesday killed three suspected kidnapers believed to be part of a notorious kidnap and robbery gang operating on the Auchi-Benin road in Edo State.
According to Brgadier Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations unit, the troops acting on credible intelligence “swooped on the gang, engage them in a gun dwell that led to the elimination of three members of the gang, while others fled in different directions.”
He said the troops recovered one AK 47 rifle, one Pump Action Short gun and other dangerous weapons, while efforts are ongoing to track the fleeing criminals and free up that corridor from teh danger to life posed by the gang.
