Mass defection looms at the Plateau state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as top officials of the party at many of the wards to local governments have perfected plans to defect from the party owning to perceived injustice melted on them .
Some of the aggrieved politicians claimed what they called non- adherence to the APC guidelines and plot to frustrate the former APC chairman, ex-speakers, ex-LG chairmen, ex-commissioner from the party ahead of plan convention.
They said the poor performance of the Governor Simon Lalong plus imposition, impunity have caused them to abandon the party to the PDP .
According to them, some of them who sacrificed for the party were not carried alone in spite of mobilizing for it saying, “we see a lot infernal crises that the party might crash and the Governor can’t produce the next APC governor.”

Meanwhile, the immediate past Financial Secretary of the APC in Plateau state Alhaji Ustaz Ibrahim, has debunk the story of his defection to the rival PDP in the state as been widely circulated.
Alhaji Ibrahim who reacted to the news that he and a former APC chairman in the state, including two former speakers with others made in Barkin Ladi LGA of the state met and agreed to decamp said it was false and just a figment of mischief makers.
Making his position known in a press release signed by himself, he warned those behind the purported revamping to desist from such falsehood will be forced to take up the matter legally.
He said, “Without mincing words, I wish to distance myself from the purported decamping which, as far as I am concerned is the work of mischief merchants.
“I also wish to call on the state APC and the faithful government, my ardent supporters, friends and well wishers to discontinue the said news item because it is a black lie in its entirety”
Alhaji Ustaz added that for the avoidance of doubt, “I was not in Barkin Ladi on the day the so-call meeting was held and in addition; no one had dared to contact me or sold the blackmailing Idea to me to warrant a decamping”
He then warned those behind the story to desist from such acts of blackmail or be prepared to face the consequences of their actions.
